I Support Bill Cosby, But...

Attorney Roy Miller
NEW YORK, NY. ---- I'm an attorney in Macon , Georgia . In 1994, I fought and succeeded at having the n-word removed from the dictionary. I am the first and only to do so. I applaud Mr. Cosby for having the guts to give an honest opinion, regarding serious problems in the Black Communtiy. At its worse, the n-word is the ultimate insult. It is profanity. Whether used it in a cool way or an evil way, profanity is still profanity. Profanity should never be acceptable language usage for children

but...

I feel that profanity should never be acceptable language usage for children, especially the n-word. However, I am careful and sensitive how I comment on good people about the way they speak and act. I was blessed to have finished college and law school. My father and brothers were military men. My mother and sisters put togethetr their pennies to help me along the way. So many relatives and good people helped me. If you would attend my family reunion, you'd find a lot of good people. A lot of them are good people who grew old and worked hard all of their lives. Many of them use terrible grammar, mispronounce words and may drink one beer too many, but I love them all just the same. In spite of their flaws, I love them. I would never want to make them feel that they are beneath me. They are my heart. What Mr. Cosby suggests may be the cure for some problems in the Black community; however, that one medicine doesn't cure all. Lets keep searching for cures. People are the creation of God. At our best, we can demostrate the heart of our father. At our worse, we are misdirected and lost.
