Jones will miss the next four games at a minimum with only Goodell determining the final length of the suspension following the Cowboys' Week 11 game against Washington on November 16th.

NY GiantsThey Might Be (but they ain't) GIANTS
by Michael-Louis Ingram -- Oct 14, 2008 - 9:59:00 PM
The Giants have become the NFL's version of "Caroline"-- as in Outkast's "Roses."

NFLSunday NFL Preview: Week Six
by Lloyd Vance -- Oct 12, 2008 - 9:57:00 PM
I am dubbing this week’s games in the NFL “Moving Week”.  This is the time where teams start to distinguish themselves as they move toward key November and December games with playoff implications or move back further causing more study of their April draft board.

The Good, the Bad, and the UglyThe NFL's Good, Bad & Ugly: Week 5
by L.A. Batchelor -- Oct 11, 2008 - 9:57:00 PM
Well, Week 5 is in the books and after the Sunday games we've seen the undefeated teams dwindle down to two (the 4-0 Giants and the 5-0 Titans).

Pacman JonesIs It Deja Vu All Over Again??
by Lloyd Vance -- Oct 11, 2008 - 9:52:00 PM
According to several sources including the Dallas Morning News, Jones, who was supposed to stay out of the limelight including skipping a recent charity beach volleyball game per Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, got himself in an altercation at the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas with of all people one of his Dallas Cowboys provided security guards.

NFLBASN's Week Five NFL Review
by Lloyd Vance -- Oct 10, 2008 - 9:58:00 PM
The second quarter of the NFL season began with a wild weekend filled with upsets, furious finishes, unbelievable comebacks, teams rising, teams falling toward the “parity” packed middle, downtrodden teams (one or fewer wins) slipping toward preparing for the 2009 NFL Draft and further distinctions between contenders and pretenders.

BASN EXCLUSIVES

BASN's NFL Picks: Week Six
While many you who may be unsure about where your team really stands through the first half dozen weeks, chew on this. Things definitely can turn quickly in the NFL, and past seasons prove it.   Oct 10, 2008

BASN's NFL Picks: Week Five
With a show of hands out there, who really thought the Bills would be undefeated, the Colts would be 1-2, and that two head coaches would be handed pink slips after just four games? Yeah, I  thought so.   Oct 3, 2008

BASN's NFL Picks: Week Four
NFL games are averaging 44.1 points per contest through three weeks of the season -- the highest such mark at this point since 2002 (44.7).  Last week, 747 points were scored in 16 games, the 10th-highest point total in history in a single weekend.    Sep 26, 2008

BASN's NFL Picks: Week Three
Week 2 saw eight teams overcome fourth-quarter deficits to win -- the third-most comeback victories ever to take place on a single weekend.  Week 5 of the 1990 season and Week 2 of 1997 each featured nine fourth-quarter comebacks.   Sep 19, 2008

BASN's NFL Picks: Week Two
Due to the importance of allowing the Houston area to focus on its recovery from the expected arrival of Hurricane Ike on Friday, the Houston Texans' home game Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens has been re-scheduled for Monday night at Reliant Stadium at 7:30 PM Houston time (8:30 PM ET).   Sep 12, 2008

BASN's NFL Power Rankings: Week #5
But the overall theme I see is that the NFL is the wackiest league on Earth.  Just when you think you know, something happens to show you that you really don't know squat.  Please tell me who thought before last week that the Chiefs would run all over the Broncos and the Redskins, who looked pretty lowly in their season opening loss to the Giants, would go into Dallas and beat the mighty Cowboys...   Oct 5, 2008

BASN's NFL Power Rankings: Week #2
The phrase “On Given Sunday, Any Team Can Beat Another Team” is sometimes over used in analyzing games, but the phrase really rings true after two weeks of the NFL. The league is filled with parity as there are 10 teams at (2-0), 10 teams at (1-1) and 10 teams at (0-2).   Sep 21, 2008

BASN NFL Power Rankings: Week 17
I fully anticipate the Tennessee Titans to take the AFC spot (Defensive-minded V.Y led team poised for a win with the Colts expected to sit several veterans) and the resurgent Washington Redskins to enter the NFC tournament (trying to continue their winning streak -- three-game winning streak since the funeral of Sean Taylor -- against Cowboys, who have nothing to gain by winning the game.   Dec 30, 2007

BASN's NFL Power Rankings: Week 16
The playoff picture is becoming clearer each week and the only division race left is in the AFC North where the Browns and Steelers are tied at 9-5 with two weeks left to sort out who will be the champ and the other a wild card team. Remember that the Steelers own the tiebreaker because they have beaten the Browns twice head to head.   Dec 22, 2007

BASN's NFL Power Rankings: Week 15
The separation of the have’s and have not’s continued in week 14 as the Patriots showed the Steelers that talk is cheap, the Cowboys grabbed their first NFC East division crown since 1998 with a last second victory over the reeling Lions, the Seahawks showed the exit to the Cardinals as they grabbed another NFC West crown...   Dec 15, 2007
