If there is any doubt as to who is the best women’s college basketball team in the country one need only look to UConn’s recent 106-78 drubbing of powerful Oklahoma at Storrs.

The Houston Comets helped to put the WNBA and women's basketball on the map in the United States. Everyone anticipated the matchups between the Comets and the New York Liberty. Not even Teresa Weatherspoon's half-court three-point shot couldn't keep Houston from winning a championship.

Wherever this coach went, there was clear evidence of improvement in the skills of the women's basketball programs. She improved the Lady Wolves of Cheyney, the Lady Hawkeyes of Iowa, and Lady Scarlet Knights of Rutgers.
Lady Bears Roll Past Lady Owls 83-58

The Lady Bears started the game on a 16-5 run; however, the Owls used a 9-1 run to make it 16-14 , but still trailed by 20 points at the half. Baylor finished with 52 rebounds, with 34 of them coming on the defensive end.
